Why DLP vs LCD?
DLP technology enables a filter-free design and therefore does not require a filter (that must be cleaned and replaced regularly). Low maintenance means lower costs.
Many DLP projectors feature BrilliantColor™ technology, which processes up to six colors or more (versus only three in LCD projectors) resulting in real life color quality.
DLP projectors feature incredibly high native contrast ratios. Blacks are really black and whites are really white, making your projections extremely easy to read.
Some LCD projectors may develop color decay after extended use, making images and video look yellow or faded. DLP projectors are virtually immune to color decay, producing a sharp, clear image – even after years of use.
Most LCD projectors require filters that are sometimes recommended to be cleaned after every 100 to 300 hours of operation. DLP technology enables a filter-free design which means lower maintenance and operating costs.
Faster video performance
DLP projectors are ultra-fast, resulting in virtually no blurring of video during presentations, video-conferencing, or other fast-motion content.
Compact and lightweight
DLP projectors use a single DLP chip, allowing an efficient design for lightweight, portable projectors.
